Our innovative BA (Hons) Fashion Management and Marketing degree equips you with the business knowledge and industry insight to thrive in the fast-paced world of fashion.
You’ll gain expertise in fashion buying, merchandising, forecasting, marketing, branding, PR and management strategy, while also developing the presentation, pitching and communication skills that today’s industry demands. With a strong focus on real-world practice, you’ll work on live briefs and projects that connect you directly to current industry challenges.
Taught by tutors with active industry experience and links to leading professionals, your learning will always be grounded in the latest trends and developments. By graduation, you’ll have the confidence, adaptability and skills to pursue a range of career paths in fashion, from marketing management and brand strategy to public relations, event planning, merchandising and digital fashion marketing.
If you don’t yet meet the entry requirements, you can still join through our Foundation in Design and Creative Business (Level 3) before progressing onto the full BA.

YEAR 1 (LEVEL 4)
In your first year, you’ll build a foundation in fashion marketing, branding, management and merchandising. You’ll explore the fashion marketplace, develop business awareness and gain the tools to understand how products move from concept to consumer.
Fashion Marketing
In this module, you’ll gain an understanding of the fashion marketplace and the role of marketing within it. You’ll learn how customer relationships with products shape buying behaviour and brand success.
Fashion Branding and Promotion
Here, you’ll explore the processes behind fashion branding and the importance of effective brand management. You’ll examine how branding decisions influence customer perception and market positioning.
Fashion Buying and Merchandising
In this module, you’ll learn how to take a product from concept to consumer. You’ll study buying and merchandising strategies, product management and how to align merchandising decisions with wider brand goals.
Fashion Management
You’ll be introduced to the principles of fashion management in a global context. Topics include fashion business, consumer groups, sustainability and the wider factors shaping the fashion industry today.
YEAR 2 (LEVEL 5)
In your second year, you’ll start to specialise and sharpen your skills through industry-focused modules and a professional work placement. You’ll explore trend forecasting, visual merchandising and professional practice while gaining real-world experience in the fashion industry.
Forecasting and Fashion Futures
In this module, you’ll learn how to predict future trends and understand the role of forecasting across fashion sectors. You’ll see how forecasting influences product development, retail and marketing strategies.
Visual Merchandising and Experiential Retailing
Here, you’ll explore how visual merchandising shapes the customer experience. From store layouts and window displays to mannequins and retail design, you’ll gain the tools to engage and inspire your audience.
Professional Practice and Industry Placement
This module gives you first-hand experience of working in the fashion industry. You’ll take part in a professional placement, build your CV and reflect on your strengths, skills and career ambitions.
YEAR 3 (LEVEL 6)
In your final year, you’ll work more independently, completing an industry-linked major project while preparing for your next step in fashion management and marketing. You’ll carry out strategic research, forecast trends and translate your ideas into a professional project that reflects your career ambitions.
Strategic Research
In this module, you’ll conduct in-depth research to propose a new fashion business concept. You’ll analyse the competitive marketplace and develop innovative ideas tailored to your target audience.
Trend Forecasting and Concept Development
Here, you’ll focus on identifying and analysing future trends within a chosen market sector. You’ll explore how macro-environmental factors shape concepts and opportunities in fashion.
Strategic Implementation and Career Planning
This module brings together your research and analysis into a final project that aligns with your career goals. You’ll produce a market report, visual pack and research project, while also planning your next steps in the fashion business.
