Sharpen your comprehension of law and take your first steps to becoming a law professional, with our LLB (Hons) degree at ARU London.
At ARU London you can take your first step to becoming a solicitor or barrister. Our LLB (Hons) Law degree will qualify you for the next stage of your legal training.
This qualifying law degree allows you to progress to the vocational stage of training as a barrister if you graduate with a 2:2 or above. It also covers the subjects which are examined by the Solicitor’s Qualifying Exam 1 (SQE 1), the first step in professional training to become a solicitor.
Here at ARU London, you’ll study both academic and practical aspects of the law, which not only prepare you for a legal career but will also give you many skills that are highly valued in other occupations.
As you go through our core modules, you'll be developing key knowledge of fundamental features of the UK and EU legal systems, and the context in which the law operates. All this, while engaging in critical analysis with peers, solving legal problems, and undertaking independent research, flexing your ability to construct complex legal arguments.

Our students go on to a wide range of careers. Some, of course, go on to the next stage of training to become solicitors and barristers. Others go on to work as paralegals. Others use their LLB in a variety of other professions, including banking, commerce, government, and teaching.
